Low rates and mild winter weather make Myrtle Beach THE place to vacation

Winter rentals in Myrtle Beach are becoming more and more popular. The Grand Strand area has millions of visitors every year, and a large amount of them have found the benefits of winter rentals. Not only is Myrtle Beach less congested during the off-season, but the prices on condos are extremely low, tempting those without the large wallets to take a break during the winter months.

"Winter", if you can call it that, lasts from about October to March in Myrtle Beach. That's when the rates are at their lowest, and many vacation rental companies even offer additional winter rental deals as an incentive to attract visitors to stay in their condos. Needless to say, you will be paying at least a third if not a quarter of the price renting an oceanfront condo in the winter, as compared to the same unit in the summer.

Myrtle Beach winters are quite nice. You could compare a January in Myrtle Beach to a September up north. You don't need a heavy jacket outside (or even sunblock) if you take a trip to Myrtle Beach in the winter months. Average temperatures are about 55 to 60 degrees during the winter, dipping lower during the night time. There is hardly any chance of frost next to the ocean because of the constant breeze. The frost just doesn't have time to settle. So you definitely don't have to worry about scraping your windshield for ice in the morning.

Traffic is very light as well. Locals agree there is a night and day difference in traffic during the summer vs traffic in the winter. Just simply because there are less people here. The lack of tourists also shows in the attractions, restaurants, shopping and other places of entertainment. You don't have to wait for a table, or listen to your noisy neighbors at the table next to you. No lines during shopping, even around Christmas! Myrtle Beach in the winter is quite the relaxed atmosphere.

There are only a couple downsides to renting in the winter. You can't swim in the ocean. Well, you can, but we wouldn't recommend it. It gets quite chilly! And there are some attractions and beach stores that do close for a month because of the lack of tourists and business. However, there are still plenty of things to do in Myrtle Beach, and all of the major attractions are still open, year round.

There are even people who take advantage of Myrtle Beach monthly winter rentals, returning to their favorite resort almost every year to take advantage of the great rates and for a change of scenery. They have come to find out that the ocean is just as beautiful to look at from their oceanfront condo in December, as it is in July. Not only that, but they save hundreds of dollars and have a chance to enjoy what Myrtle Beach has to offer without competing with thousands of other tourists at the same time.

Malibu Pointe - A Great Winter Rental

Malibu Pointe Featured Myrtle Beach Resort
Completed in 2007, Malibu Pointe has that luxury without the luxury price. Granite counter tops, tile floors, master bath jacuzzi tub, and the list goes on and on. While its not an oceanfront complex, if you rent a unit that's on one of the upper floors, you will see right over the building in front of you to the bright beautiful ocean.

Located in North Myrtle Beach, SC, Malibu Pointe is both a golfer's paradise and wonderful for those long term winter rentals in Myrtle Beach. Simply because of the great price for what you get. It's still a short walk to the beach, but you won't find many condos with these kinds of amenities! If you rent through Condolux, there is a computer center in the 3 and 4 bedroom units and 42" HDTV in all the units. If you bring your laptop, there is also wireless internet access.

Want to go for a swim? Take your pick of pools. There is an indoor pool, outdoor pool, lazy river AND kiddie pool. It's great if you don't want to battle the ocean, or if you want to cool off after your workout in the excersize facility.

Malibu Pointe is available in 1, 3 or 4 bedrooms with prices as low as $800 a month during the off-season. There are also GREAT deals on Malibu Pointe units for sale at the moment as well. If you are in the real estate market, this is definately one to check out!
